Our class has been playing Guess Our Number with Mr. Greg’s class in Vietnam via Twitter. Every day, we have been asking questions that can be answered with a yes or no answer to try to narrow down what the other class’s number is.
Today they guessed our number and we think we know what their number is too!
This week we we’ve been learning about programming and robots. We tried writing programming instructions for each other and then played a programming game called Kodable.
Today, we got to try programming a real robot.
We painted some gorgeous dots this week. The students got to choose the group of colors they liked best for their dot.
We also practiced pointing at words as we “read”. No one was reluctant to point with these fingers!
It was Dot Day today. Bingo dabbers plus kids equals some great patterns!

We’ve just finished our whirlwind first four days of school. So much excitement getting to know our new friends and learning routines. The first weeks of school are always exhausting ones for the students (and their teacher!) as they adjust to full days of school. My new students were up to the challenge, though. Just look at the eager learners below.
