What a wonderful time we had on our last day together!
Have a terrific summer.

Amy Krouse Rosenthal is one of our favourite authors. This week, we read a book of hers called Chopsticks.
Most of the students in the class had never tried chopsticks or eaten sushi, so we gave it a try. First we rubbed them together to get rid of any splinters…
..and then we gave using them a try. There were lots of different techniques.
Incidentally, almost everyone loved the sushi.
The students’ writing about the possibilities of chopsticks will begin appearing on their blogs later today.
The children are having a blast skating! I’ve been impressed by how hard they are trying and by how uncomplaining they are about sore feet and falling down. Just look at these smiles.
As part of our study about how people lived in the past, we made our own butter out of cream. We shook the cream…
…and shook it a lot more…
…until it finally became butter. Yum!
Putting on and taking off our snow clothes consumes a significant amount of time in our classroom. This week, we decided to challenge ourselves to see how fast we can do it if we really try. Can you beat our time?
