Writing Comments Posted by kathycassidy 5 This week we are learning how to write comments on other kids’ blogs. We’re learning to say kind things, to make connections and to ask questions.
We are lerning how to do that also .we have to lern how to say kind things
I see that you are using iPads for students to generate their comments. How do the students use this when making connections and asking questions? Are these used as a substitute for writing utensils?

Tanya, if my students are commenting on something posted digitally, they need to use a digital tool to do so. If they are making connections and asking questions (both of which I encourage when commenting) in a digital space, then yes, they use a digital tool. We also make frequent use of pencils when we write on paper. Learning BOTH is important. Neither is a substitute for the other.
This is a good thing for the class to learn. Extremely excited to
teach this to my students someday in my classroom.
This is a great skill for the students to learn. Keep on doing good work.
