We have been talking about people, animals and characters and the unique contribution each one makes to the world. Each of the students wrote about their unique “genius” and why that unique quality is important to the world. Each of us matters.

Our first day of school was a busy one, but since the grade one students had been looking longingly at the iPads since they arrived in the classroom, we did take some time to get acquainted with these new tools. The grade two students were excellent teachers, passing on their knowledge to the younger students.
We’re looking forward to seeing how these captivating devices can help us to learn.
Welcome to our new blogging home!
For over seven years, my five and six year old students and I have been sharing our learning on another blog.
Through that blog we connected with people and classes from around the world. It was a special place and we loved it. We were sorry to leave, but this new Edublog will allow us to use our blogs in even better ways. By using the iPads we have in our classroom and the Edublogs app, my students will be able to be more independent in demonstrating their learning. That’s important to us.
If you followed us on our last blog, we hope you will continue to follow what we are doing here as well. We’re looking forward to the new adventure.
