Constable Mohle visited our classroom today to talk to us about safety. The students had prepared some questions and he patiently answered every one of them. The students will be sharing what they learned on their blogs, probably next week.

Jingle Dance
One of my former students visited my class today to perform a First Nations Jingle Dance for us. She even taught some of the braver children how to do the dance.
From her, we learned that the Jingle Dance is a healing dance and that if we weren’t feeling well, the sound of the jingles would help us to feel better.
Finding Answers
A New Book!
Because our class guessed the correct answer during an education week contest, we won a book! Mr. Orescanin choose the book Where the Wild Things Are for us because it was his favorite book when he was a child. Today he brought us the book and read it to us. The best part is that we get to keep it in our classroom so that we can all read it.
Thanks, Mr. Orescanin.
Remembering
To honour our soldiers who have served in many wars and peace keeping missions for Canada, the school set up a Wall of Honour and display. These are some of the posters from our class that are part of the display.
Below are other views of the display, including photos of relatives of our students who have served.
